Cookie Policy

Last updated: 19 May 2026

1. What are cookies

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow the site to remember your preferences, maintain your session, and — where you have consented — collect anonymised analytics data.

2. How we use cookies

The Orijtech Energy website uses a small number of cookies for two purposes:

  • Essential cookies — required for the website to function correctly. These cannot be disabled.
  • Analytics cookies — used to understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it. These are only set after you have given explicit consent via the cookie banner.

We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or any cookies that profile you across other websites.

4. Your consent and how to manage cookies

When you first visit our website, a cookie banner will ask whether you consent to analytics cookies. You can:

  • Accept all cookies — essential and analytics
  • Accept essential cookies only — analytics cookies will not be set
  • Change your preference at any time by clearing your browser cookies and revisiting the site

You can also manage or delete cookies directly through your browser settings. Please note that disabling essential cookies may affect the functionality of this website.

5. Google Analytics

Where you have consented to analytics cookies, we use Google Analytics 4. Google may process data on servers outside Uganda. Google Analytics 4 is configured with IP anonymisation enabled — your full IP address is not stored.

You can opt out of Google Analytics across all websites using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

6. Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.

7. Contact

For questions about our use of cookies, contact us at info@orijtechenergy.com.

TODO: Legal review required before launch

This Cookie Policy is a functional draft and must be reviewed and approved by a qualified Legal Advisor (Role 29) before the website goes live. In particular, confirm: Cloudflare Turnstile cookie behaviour, Google Analytics 4 data transfer compliance under applicable Ugandan law, and whether a formal cookie consent management platform (CMP) is required.
